At PBJS I had the privilege of designing an external and internal site for Bill Gates to announce his retirement from Microsoft in 2009. The external site which mainly held video content shared several interview footages of his longtime colleagues’ memorable moments at Microsoft and farewell messages. The internal site was an interactive yearbook where Microsoft employees worldwide could share stories, images, and sign a farewell message to Bill. The digital book opens with a thank you message from Bill and a brief timeline that marks key moments in his career. The site, built in Silverlight, was a huge hit and had thousands of participants worldwide.
